Audrey Graziano Obituary

Audrey Graziano, 84, of West Scranton, died Friday evening under NEPA Hospice Care at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband, Robert Graziano, died in 2001.

Born in Duryea, daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie Beaver Coolbaugh, she was educated at Duryea High School. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in West Scranton and its Society of the Faithful. She was also very active with the Legion of Mary, volunteering much of her time at hospitals and nursing homes.

She is survived by her children, a son, Scranton City Police Capt. Carl Graziano and wife, Donna, Scranton; and three daughters, Janet Bastek, Scranton; Beverly Smith and husband, James, Mechanicsburg; and Brenda Graziano and fiancé, Joseph Cherundolo, Dupont; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Debbie Reynolds, Scranton, whose love, support and companionship have been extraordinary.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Brian Graziano; a sister, Margaret Grigsby; and nine brothers, John, Ray, Gerald, Grant, Albert, Frank "Fritz," Duke, Bob and Bill Coolbaugh.

Her family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of NEPA Hospice at Regional Hospital and her fellow members of the Legion of Mary.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 517 N. Main St., Old Forge, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Patrick's Church, 1403 Jackson St., Scranton. Interment will follow in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects Tuesday, 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Legion of Mary, c/o St. Patrick's Parish, 1403 Jackson St., Scranton, 18504. Visit www.Kear neyFuneralHome.com for directions or to leave an online condolence.
