Barry Klonoski Obituary

Barry J. Klonoski, 38, of Ledgedale, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday morning at the Geisinger Community Medical Center due to complications from COVID-19.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of John and Susan Batchelor Klonoski and was a 2003 graduate of North Pocono High School. He was a member of the Light of Christ Church, Mount Cobb. Barry had been employed by the Human Resource Center, Allied Services and most importantly as the employee relations specialist for his family's business, Countryside Catering.

Barry was active in the activities associated with the ARC of Wayne and Lackawanna Counties and especially enjoyed the time he spent at the Dyberry Day Camp.

Barry was a special person. He touched many lives and had many friends throughout the area. Barry hiked and toured Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Rocky Mountain, Acadia, Everglades and Washington, D.C. national parks. He enjoyed several camping vacations to Disney World. Barry enjoyed bowling in several leagues. He enjoyed a trip to Las Vegas for the Monster Jam World Finals and was an avid fan. He was a Yankees and Eagles fan.

The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers who helped Barry socially and with life skills, Barb and Bob Vanderwall and Barbera Rosencrance were a blessing.

Also surviving are a brother, Jason, Ridgway, Colorado; aunts and uncles; cousins; and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Charles and Josephine Maryanski Klonoski; and maternal grandparents, David and Mabel Frisbie Batchelor.

A celebration of Barry's life will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Light of Christ Church, 2067 Moosic Lake Road, Mount Cobb.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel, and Friday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service in the church.

All attending are asked to adhere to the CDC recommendations concerning COVID-19.
