Brett S. Koegler, 61, a resident of Scranton, died Thursday in Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Born in Clifton, N.J., he was the son of Gladys Bartsch Koegler, Scranton, and the late Frederick Koegler. Brett was a Born Again Christian. He was a graduate of Arizona State University where he received his bachelor's degree in psychology, and later received his master's in history. He formerly was the manager of a telemarketing agency. Brett was a stay at home dad, raising his two children. He was a loving, kind and supportive father, and a good friend.
Also surviving are his children, Elise Koegler and Daniel Koegler, both of Scranton; and his former wife, Brenda; and best friend, Shonda.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 12 p.m. in the August J. Haas Funeral Home Inc., 202 Pittston Ave., by Pastor Ginger Daubenhauser. Interment is private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. To leave an online condolence, visit the funeral home website.
