Daniel J. Grecula

Daniel J. "Donny" Grecula, 78, of Olyphant, died Saturday morning at Allied Hospice, Scranton, after an illness. His wife of 47 years is the former Frances "Franny" McGinty.

Born in Dickson City, son of the late Michael and Agnes Sherotski Grecula, he was educated in Dickson City schools and was a member of Holy Cross Parish in Olyphant. He was employed for many years in the local garment industry.

Also surviving are three sons, Daniel John Grecula Jr. and Robert Joseph Grecula, both of Archbald; and Joseph Napolitan, Mayfield; a daughter, Rose Lutz, Archbald; three grandchildren, Rita, Carl Peter and Alan Michael; and several nieces and nephews including Theresa and husband, Mark Basalyga, Greenfield Twp.; and great-great-nephew and godson, Zeth Edwards, Greenfield Twp.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son; four brothers, Michael Grecula, Edward, Frank and Peter Dunback; and three sisters, Bernice Condrad, Antoinette Thompson and Irene Golik.

There are no public calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, Olyphant.
