Daniel Setzer Obituary
Born Aug. 1, 1944, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Daniel Sr. and Gladys (McLain) Setzer. Before his retirement, Dan was employed as a carpenter with local union 645. In his early years he helped run his family's diary business in Moscow.
He was a member of Moscow United Methodist Church, Moscow Lodge 504, American Legion Post of Moscow and the Minisink Lions Club.
Surviving are his children, Todd D. Setzer, Moscow; Lynn Merrill and husband, James, Moscow; and Lisa Slife and husband, Jeff, Lakeville; sister, Ruth Woodbridge and husband, Leo, Topton, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Lisa Setzer, Alicia Setzer, Laura Borer, Kelly Mulholland, TJ Setzer, Kaitlyn Setzer and Elizabeth Slife; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Setzer; and his former wife, Carolyn M. (Trapper) Sems.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church St., Moscow.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. Masonic funeral rites will be conducted Thursday at 5:45.
Interment and committal will be conducted at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp. For online condolences, please visit the funeral home website.
