Daniel Wormuth Obituary

Daniel "Duke" Wormuth, 51, of Childs, died Thursday night at home. His wife is the former Marisa Grasso. The couple had been married for 20 years.

Born in Carbondale, son of Ruth Cosklo Belaski, Mayfield, and John Wormuth, Childs, he was a 1981 graduate of Lakeland High School, and was a self-employed stone mason. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Greek Catholic Church, Simpson.

Duke was a member of the Childs Hunting Club and the Meredith Hose Co., Childs. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his dog, Diesel.

He is also survived by two daughters, Susan and Mariah Wormuth, both at home; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas, in 2013; and Michael.

The funeral will be Tuesday from the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson, with Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Greek Catholic Church, Rittenhouse Street, Simpson, to be celebrated by the Rev. Myron Myronyuk, pastor. Interment will be in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
