Diana L. Yanochik

Diana L. Yanochik, a resident of Archbald, died Tuesday morning at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA. She was the widow of Ronald W. Yanochik, who died Nov. 20, 2005.

Born in Simpson, daughter of the late Joseph and Italia Fofi Nardi, she attended Carbondale schools and was a graduate of Carbondale High School. Diana was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, and before retirement, was employed at Lockheed Martin in Archbald.

She enjoyed being in the company of her sisters, even though they lived away. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of her life. Diana was the ultimate bingo player and would play at any chance.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Rosar and husband, John, Archbald; sons, Ronald W. Yanochik Jr. and wife, Maryann, Archbald; and Robert Christopher Yanochik, Canadensis; grandchildren, Jennifer Collarini, Amy Collarini, Gary Collarini, Victoria Petrosky, Joseph Liuzzio, Ronald William Yanochik III and Kimberly Rosar; great-grandchildren, Haley Blosser, Mathew Blosser, Bella Collarini, Matthew Simpson, Layla Woody and Olivia White; sisters, Rosie Kubus, Forest City; Lenore Kline, Georgia; Celeste Allen and husband, Francis, New Jersey; Julia Mercatili and husband, Pete, Warwick, N.Y.; and Louise Taroli and husband, Jack, Lancaster; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Russin.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Michael Klingerman and the nurses and staff at the Regional Hospital ICU and Hospice.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Jessup.
