Douglas A. Biesecker, 91, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Born in Newton, Pa., on June 28, 1930, he was the son of Truman K. and Oelo Rifenbary Biesecker.
Doug graduated from Newton-Ransom High School and from Penn State University with an associate degree in machine design. Doug was a United States Navy veteran of four years, serving as a radar operator in the Korean Conflict. He had a long career, retiring after 20 years of employment as a mechanical designer with Universal Instruments in Binghamton, N.Y. He also worked at Sandvik Steel and Daystrom/Weston. Doug had great interest in developing electro-mechanical designs and held several patents.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; two sons, Gary, husband of Cindy, Dallas, Pa.; and Bradley, Clarks Summit, Pa.; three grandsons, Bryan, Alexandria, Va.; Christopher, Madison, Wis.; and Michael, Dallas, Pa.; a niece, Cherilyn Ayres, of Canton, Pa.; and a nephew, James Biesecker, of Gouldsboro, Pa.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Clarice Ayres; and one brother, James.
Graveside service and interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Doug would have been my second cousin, 1st cousin to my father Leon, Sr. Oelo was my great aunt, sister to my grandmother Zida (Rifenbary) KIRCHER. Please accept our family´s condolences at this difficult time. RIP
