Edward Gallagher Obituary
Born in Scranton, son of the late Edward J. and Lucille Walsh Gallagher, he was a member of Divine Mercy Parish. He was a graduate of South Catholic High School, class of 1970, and Keystone Junior College. He was employed as a network engineer at Keytech Group Inc., Scranton, and formerly owned and operated Gallagher Signs. He also was employed at Keystone College as a network engineer and adjunct professor.
Also surviving are a son, E.J. Gallagher III and wife, Erica, Landenberg; a daughter, Kathleen Gallagher, Baltimore, and fiance, Matthew Mahon, Philadelphia; a grandson, Chase Joseph Gallagher; two sisters, Maureen Innes, Villanova; and Lu Anne Sebastian, Moosic; two brothers, James Gallagher, Luzerne; and Jeffery Gallagher, Scranton; nieces; nephews; cousins; and best friend, Lauri O'Connell, Clarks Summit.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Eagen-Huges Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor. Interment, private at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
