Funeral services have been set for Edward J. Grabowski, Newark, N.Y., and formerly West Scranton, who died Aug. 1.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:15 a.m. from the Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, Oram Street, Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. John Ruth. Interment with military honors by the AMVETS Honor Guard will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Scranton. Relatives and friends may pay their respects Friday from 9 until services. Uncle Ed was a gentle soul. He always treated everyone with respect and a kind word. He helped me, my mom, and my brother after my dad died. He will never be forgotten as he will remain forever in our hearts and memories.

Mr. Grabowski family, I am so sorry to hear of your father's loss. I went to school with Lynn at John Marshall school. He was a man who worked hard each day at the Times and was a man who loved his faith and gave his all to St.Patricks but especially the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel. He was a kind and giving man. Eddie was a very dear friend of my Father and I remember many times that they spent together in our kitchen after work and many, many golf games they shared. Your Dad was a very special friend and I'm sure they are resuming their golf games in Heaven. Condolences from the Walsh and Faltyn Families.

Eddie was the most dedicated, inspired man I have Ever met. I served with him as a Eucharist Minister at St. Patrick's. Ed is a good man with whom i will miss. May our ever loving God protect him and hold his family and friends in the palm of his hand during this mourning of loss. My Sincere Condolences. God Bless.
