Eleanor R. White, 92, of Tunkhannock, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, Feb. 8, 2022, at home in her favorite chair.
Born in Harding on May 5, 1929, she was the daughter of the Late Kenneth and Eleanor (Swartwood) Hoover. Eleanor worked at Rowker Manufacturing in Tunkhannock, before becoming a stay at home mom.
She had a great love for the outdoors, and enjoyed watching her favorite bird, the cardinal.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Milton R., who passed away in 2018; son, Milton C., who passed in 2011; brothers, Kenneth (June), Herbert (Herbbie) and Howard Hoover; and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by sons, Kenny and wife, Patty; and Randy and wife, Bridget, all of Tunkhannock; granddaughter, Heather (George); grandson, Tyler (Hayleigh); great-granddaughter, Emma; great-grandson, Geo; sister, Evelyn Hoover Rottgen, Bradenton, Florida; brother, Harold M. Hoover, Orange; brother, Ernest (Janice) Hoover, Bradenton, Florida; sister-in-law, Janice Hoover, of Penns Grove, New Jersey; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. A viewing will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at noon Friday at the Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Northmoreland Twp.
