Eve P. Polasky, 82, from Scranton, passed away peacefully Thursday at St. Mary's Villa in Elmhurst. She is survived by her husband, Martin Polasky. They would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on Oct. 3, 2022.
Born April 9, 1940, in Warren, Ohio. Eve was the daughter of the late William and Eve Sabo and stepmother, Christine Sabo. Eve was a graduate of San Bernardino High School in California and St. Mary's Nursing School in Scranton. She was a licensed practical nurse and her last employer was Holy Family Residence in Scranton.
Eve was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and attended Asbury United Methodist Church. She was an avid Phillies fan. She was most proud of her family and especially cherished time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are three children, Joseph Polasky, Old Forge, Deborah Moskovitz; Robert, Midlothian, Va., and Linda Valenti; and Samuel Jr., Moscow; seven grandchildren, Angelia Rosiak, Domenic, Michael and Gabriella Polasky, Sarah and Joshua Moskovitz, Samuel and Gracie Valenti; and two great-grandsons, Brayden and Bryson Polasky. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Cathy Thomas, St. Louis, Mo., and a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, William and Eugene Sabo.
Her family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Villa in Elmhurst for their compassionate and loving care.
A visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed immediately by services at Duffy and Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church St., Moscow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's and Dementia Organizations at alz.org or American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
