I met Frank quite a number of years ago while employed at a credit union and cherished his friendsip. He was concerned, at that time, about the economy and his concerns were certainly merited. I am honored to have known him.

We are very sad to hear that Frank had passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his sister's, Francis and Virginia, and the entire Longo family.
We will never forget all the kindness and help he provided our family over the years, especially to my mother and father. He was not only their neighbor and someone who they could depend upon, he was like one of the family to them.

The world is a little darker today. Uncle Frank was the patriarch of our family. I remember during his tenure as Public Safety Director, he and Mayor Jim Walsh repaired Lake Lincoln and Nay Aug Park. I remember how many people would come to the park to picnic and enjoy the simple rides and zoo. Many people were affected positively with this one of many accomplishments.
Uncle Frank was the first person to equip the fire and police departments properly for their safety and the safety of the people of Scranton. Many police officers and firemen thanked him for making this happen.
Uncle Frank and Jim Walsh governed during the late 1960's a very tumultuous time in America, which makes their accomplishments ever more precious.
He loved history and government and our country. But most of all he loved the city of Scranton, the place he lived all of his life.
I witnessed the many people who stopped him wherever he was in Scranton and thanked him for his help. He remembered everyone's names and families. He was truly dedicated to his family, friends, clients, and practice. He was private and reserved and he was humble in his life.
He was the strength in our family. He was everyone's support and mentor. There is so much more I remember. Most of all I remember his love.
I think the world is a little darker today without him here. I know his journey will be good. I know God will be good to him. I know his parents are glad to see him and have him close again. I am honored to have been a part of his life and to have had him as part of mine. I am blessed to have been his niece.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Longo family. Frank was a huge part of my brother Donnie's life, and a kind man. His legacy will live on in those he loved... and who loved him.
