George Svetlovics Obituary
Born in Scranton, son of the late George F. and Irene Fedor Svetlovics Sr., he was educated in Scranton schools, and was a graduate of West Scranton High School, class of 1966. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War. Before his retirement, he was employed by RCA for 31 years, and later worked as a chef at Angelo Bistocchi's Restaurant in Dunmore. George was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and he also enjoyed playing golf.
Also surviving are a brother, Ron Svetlovics, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
George's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday in the Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave., Scranton, from noon to 1:15 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship House, 1509 Maple St., Scranton, PA 18505; or to the donor's favorite charity. Arrangements are provided by the Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton.
