Glenn Biagi Obituary
Glenn was a graduate of the University of Steubenville. He was ordained a Deacon within the Catholic Church on November 27, 1999, in Scranton, Pa., and recently served as pastoral associate at St. Ann's Church, Shohola, Pa. He was also a Catholic Chaplain of the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution, Waymart, Pa., where he formed the St. Faustina Church for the inmates. Glenn had a passion for hunting, fishing and a round of golf, but most of all cherished spending time with his grandsons.
The son of the late Arthur R. and Marie (Wettengel) Biagi, he was born August 25, 1950, in Weehawken, N.J. He was married to Mary Elaine (Yazdzik) Biagi on June 9, 1978, in Olyphant, Pa.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years; three children, Marlaina Schlegel of Fleetwood, Pa.; Dana Biagi of Greeley, Pa.; Glenn J. Biagi Jr. of Dunmore, Pa.; five grandsons, Connor, Logan, Jackson, Michael and Ayden; brother, Arthur Biagi Jr. of Blufton, S.C.; sister, Sharon Eadie of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held at St. Ann's Church, Shohola, Pa. on Friday, May 10, 2013, from 2 to 7 p.m. Solemn Vespers will be celebrated at 7 p.m. by the Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, D.D., J.C.L., Bishop of Scranton.
A Pontifical Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Most Reverend James C. Timlin, D.D., Bishop Emeritus of Scranton, at St. Ann's Church, Shohola, Pa., on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. Internment will take place at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, Pa.

My condolences to the Biagi Family.
I worked with Deacon Glenn at SCI-Waymart. He was a wonderful spiritual leader for the St. Faustina Catholic Church. I know God will bless him greatly for bringing the Light of Christ into the darkness.
