James Mirabelli, 63, of Factoryville, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton. Jim, as friends knew him, was born in Scranton on June 30, 1959, the son of the late Frank and Althea Sheffler Mirabelli. Jim and the love of his life, Kitty (Murnin) Mirabelli, recently celebrated 40 years of marriage together.
Jim was a self-employed long haul truck driver who knew the roads better than any GPS. He loved spending time with his family and was always the life of the party. He had a larger than life persona and filled every room with his loud and contagious laugh. Jim was a loyal friend and a jack of all trades. He was the hardest worker and tirelessly provided for his family. A jokester with a big heart, Jim knew how to fix anything and was the first call for loved ones when something broke. He'd drop everything to help a friend in need. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Althea; and his brother, John.
Surviving besides wife, Kitty, are son, James and his wife, Jaimie, of Clarks Summit; daughter, Amanda Mirabelli, of Factoryville; two grandchildren, Layla and Jack; foster grandson, Logan; brother, Frank; and sisters, Denise Appleman and Debbie Mirabelli.
Blessing service will be Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 6 p.m. from Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes Inc., 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville, with the Rev. Stephen A. Asomah presiding.
