James D. Pinnell, 74, of Scranton, passed away at Regional Hospital of Scranton from COVID-19 complications on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021.
He was the son of Lloyd and Laverna Bambach Pinnell.
Jim had been employed by Lucent Technologies, Mount Olive, N.J., as an engineering electronic technician and, prior to his retirement, by Frontier Communications, Dallas, Pa., as an electronic maintenance technician.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Pinnell; and sister, June Harris.
He is survived by his fiancée, Marilyn Boylan, Hanover Twp.; his beloved cat, Odie; nephews, Kim (Lorna) Johns and Douglas (Karen) Pinnell; nieces, Debbie Harris and Leslie (Larry) York; several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
A private service will be held. Interment will be in the Emmanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery in Dorrance, Pa.
