Jene O. (O'Hearn) Delesky, 91, soon to be 92, of Scranton, passed away Monday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband was the late Frank E. Delesky, who died in 1989.
Born May 16, 1931, daughter of the late Joseph D. and Margaret Davis O'Hearn, Jene was employed by PNC Bank, prior to her retirement, and was a volunteer for Allied Services. Of the Catholic faith, Jene was a member of St. Patrick's Parish and attended St. Ann's Basilica Parish.
Surviving are her loving children, Kelly Alt and husband, Zak, Madison Twp.; and Francis Delesky, Scranton; grandchildren, Shane Alt and wife, Gina, Scranton; Jesse Alt and wife, Jennifer, Maryland; and Autumn; great-grandchildren, Nikolas, Ava, Amelia and Isaac Alt; a sister, Irene M. Graham; and a brother, Paul O'Hearn and fiancée, JoAnn Lindsey; godchild, Jene M. Lindsay; nieces and nephews.
Jene was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Thornton and husband, Thomas; sister, Mary O'Hearn; brother, Joseph F. O'Hearn and wife, Helen; infant siblings, Mary, Elizabeth, Margaret and John; brother-in-law, Paul Graham; precious nephews, Timothy Graham, Thomas Thornton Jr. and Steven Pallaschke; and good friend, Marge Lindsay.
A Celebration of Jene's Life will be held Monday at 4 p.m. in the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Richard Fox, pastor of St. Patrick's Parish.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects Monday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home. Please visit the funeral home's website for directions or to leave a condolence.
