John E. Muha Jr., 80, a lifelong resident of Archbald, went to heaven on June 4.
Born in Peckville to the late John E. Mucha and Stella Yamilakowski Mucha, he was stricken with polio at the age of seven months. Always a fighter, he recovered and graduated from Archbald High School and was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald.
Retired, John enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He was always happy and grateful for the smallest things and considered everyone a friend. He found joy in fishing, golfing, long walks and growing tomatoes to give away. He loved God, his family and having coffee with friends at the local McDonald's.
John is survived by a brother, Robert Muha and his wife, Cynthia, South Canaan; three sisters, Louise Edwards, Covington Twp., Gloria Coleman and husband, Lee, Ft. Myers, Fla., and Maryann Fischer and husband, Robert, Nutley, N.J.; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Slimski and her husband, Joseph; his brother-in-law, Donald J. Edwards; and his niece, Holly Conlon Edwards.
The family asks that you go out today and share as much positivity and love as you can in this world to honor John's memory.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 15, at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. Family will receive condolences from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Inurnment will follow Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
