John E. Mulkerin, 59, of Scranton, died Saturday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. His wife, the former Brenda Morgan, died June 23, 2017.
Born Dec. 14, 1961, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Eugene and Mary Ann (Carson Stivala) Mulkerin. John was both a United States Army and United States Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Scranton. Before his illness, John was employed in customer service, delivery and telemarketing.
Surviving are his children, Christopher A. Mulkerin and wife, Lacey, Dickson City; Heather Snyder and husband, Erich, Scranton; and John Mulkerin and wife, Ashley, Eynon; 10 grandchildren; and his brother, Joseph Mulkerin, Scranton.
He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Pat Carson and Tina Townsend.
A memorial blessing service will be conducted Friday at 7 p.m. in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., Scranton.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
