John A. Nat, 54, of Duryea, died Friday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in the Austin Heights Section of Old Forge on Jan. 27, 1964, and was the son of Andrew Nat Jr. and the late Joan (Krafchak) Nat. John was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. He was a 1983 graduate of Old Forge High School. John was retired from the United States Army National Guard. He served with the Guard for over 23 years; he was also an active lifetime member of the Excelsior Hose Company, Duryea, and served for over 25 years. John worked for the Bronze and Powder Co., Taylor; David H. Jones, Moosic; Main Technologies, Old Forge; Precision Auto Glass, Duryea; Keystone Automations, Duryea; and was most recently employed by NEPA Auto Auctions, of Scranton.
John was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his dad, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra (Skoranski) Nat; his son, Christopher Nat, at home; brother, Drew and his wife, Jo Ann Nat, of Exeter; and sister, Maryann Orban and her husband, Michael, of Frederick, Md. Also surviving are his in-laws, Linda and Patrick Farrell; brother and sister-in law, Frank Skoranski Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Laporte; his nieces, Megan Burke; Julianna Nat; Erin Wright; Samantha and Cassidy Skoranski; and his great-niece, Zoe Wright.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with services at 11 a.m. at Langcliffe Presbyterian Church, 1001 Main St., Avoca, with the Rev. Alex Becker officiating.
Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held at the Parish Cemetery. AMVETS Honor Guard of Greater Pittston will provide military honors.
