Joseph Iyoob Obituary
Joseph S. Iyoob, Carbondale, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. His wife of 67 years is Kay Pope Iyoob.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Simon and Rhoda Habeeb Iyoob, he was a United States Navy veteran. He was a proprietor of Iyoob Market, Carbondale, for many years.
In addition to his wife, Kay, he is survived by a son, Thomas Iyoob, Tennessee; a daughter, Nancy Russo, North Carolina; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Simon Iyoob.
A memorial Mass in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, and interment in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery will be held at a later date.
