Joseph Ratchford Obituary
Joseph J. Ratchford Jr., 64, of Scranton, died Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph and Rosemary Ruddy Ratchford, he was a graduate of West Scranton High School. He worked at numerous car lots over his career, including Dickson City Hyundai, Major Motors and managed Major Kia. He went on to become one of the top 10 car salesmen on the Atlantic east coast.
Joe enjoyed watching true crime movies and stand-up comedy routines. His hobbies included fishing, swimming, and spending time with his family and dogs.
Surviving are his wife, Wendy Ratchford; and his five children, Kelly, Erin and Michael Yeager, and Camryn and Alexandra Ratchford.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Ratchford.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton.
