Joseph Sulz Obituary

Joseph Sulz, 86, of Scranton died Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, after a brief illness. His wife, Joan Sulz, died Nov. 25, 2007.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Margaret Heil, of the Roman Catholic faith and a graduate of Technical High School. Joe was married to Joan, whom he met in 1953 at Eureka Printing Co., where they were both employed. Devoted to his wife, he retired to care for her throughout her illness.

A skilled pressman with a great work ethic, he took great pride in the quality of his work initially at Eureka Printing and later at Panel Prints. Joe leaves a lasting legacy as a dedicated, hardworking provider who never complained and took joy in his family and life.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Jo White and her husband, Michael, Scranton; and sons, Joseph Sulz and his wife, Vanessa, Dunmore; and Daniel Sulz, Scranton.

Services and interment are private and at the convenience of the family and memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Arrangements entrusted to the Donahue Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Ave., Scranton.
