Attorney Lawrence M. Ludwig, 73, of Clarks Green, died July 15 at home. He was the husband of Noreen (Shaughnessy) Ludwig, to whom he was married since 1980. Born in August 1950 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Lawrence P. and Miriam (Mahoney) Ludwig.
Lawrence graduated from Scranton Preparatory School ('68). Followed by graduation from Boston College in 1972. He was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society at the time of his graduation. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School. Lawrence was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1975. His area of expertise was business litigation.
Survived by spouse, Noreen, of Clarks Green; one daughter, Abigail (Eric) S. Sharbaugh, of Pittsburgh; one son, Christopher Ludwig, of Conshohocken; grandsons, Luke and Michael Sharbaugh; nieces and nephews; and one brother, Dr. Gary (Paula) Ludwig, of St. Joseph, Mich. Lawrence was preceded in death by his brother, John Ludwig, and his spouse, Anne Ludwig.
The funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Scranton Preparatory School in memory of: Attorney Lawrence M. Ludwig, 1000 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
