Leslie Ferko Jr., Scott Twp., died peacefully Saturday afternoon at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center surrounded by his family. His widow is the former Donna Agentowicz. The couple married in 1993.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Leslie and Marlene Grudeski Ferko Sr. He was an Abington Heights graduate in 1982 and a very proud truck driver for J.P. Mascaro and Sons for many years. He took great pride in his work and cherished all of those he worked with.

Also surviving are the pride and joys of his life. His daughters, Taylor and Taralyn Ferko; his son, Eric Ferko; his beloved grandson, Kingston Ferko; a sister, Sandra Agentowicz and her husband, Edward, all of Scott Twp.; and his nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 310 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Taylor.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

Les I can't believe that this happened I was just at your house so you could see the Maserati we talked about going for wings and that was the last time we talked you must have gotten sick just after we talked I knew something was wrong when I was at work on Thanksgiving and I never heard from you I wish I called to the ferko family I'm sorry sorry for your loss heaven gained a great man he was always and will always be a gods friend to me sorry for your loss

To say I’m sorry for your loss would be and is A HUGE understatement. Great guy doesn’t even come close to what your husband and father to your children was!!!!
There is A HUGE void in this world with out this man in it!!!
I pray for you and your families comfort I know it was A huge loss as well as A long disappointing road getting to this loss.

Les was a great guy. I enjoyed working with him at Mascaro. He will be missed by all that were privileged to know him. I will miss our conversation on the cb. He had a great sense of humor. I am so sorry for your loss.
