Dear Wendy and Family,

My deepest sympathy is extended to you during this difficult time. Marty was a good friend, a devoted husband and father, and a fine police officer. It was my honor to have known Marty as a MPDC Police Academy classmate. Years later we later served together in the MPDC's Sixth District, in Washington, D.C. Marty was always a man of strong convictions who was deeply devoted to his family as well as helping people in need particularly those who were among the most poor, fearful, and oppressed. Marty was dedicated to his faith, family, and friends. He loved his country and he firmly believed in protecting our nation, its people, and its values. Rest in peace Marty, you are a good man who always tried to do your best. Thank you Marty. May God be with you now and forever.
