Mary Michalek Obituary
Mary (Marie) C. Michalek, 64, of Lake Ariel, died Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. She and her husband, Mark Michalek, celebrated 47 years of marriage June 15.
Born in Scranton, she is the daughter of Marie Mills and the late Thomas Mills. She was a graduate of Western Wayne High School, class of 1974. She was a member of the St. Thomas More/St. Mary's Parish Community. Marie enjoyed decorating her house, taking trips with her husband, going to church on Sundays with her mother and dressing up to go out with friends and family.
Also surviving are a daughter, Shannon Spak and her husband, Stephen of Clarks Summit; a sister, Patricia Weins; brothers, Thomas Mills Jr. and his wife, Carol and Dan Mills; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Michalek, and brother, David Mills Sr.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
