Mary Witkowski Obituary

Mary Ann Witkowski, 75, of Scranton, died Tuesday morning at home. She is survived by her husband, Henry Witkowski.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Charles Labosky and Irene Walsh, she was a graduate of West Scranton High School. Before retirement, she worked as a waitress for Angelo Bistocchi's Restaurant, Egan's Restaurant and Club C&C. She was of the Roman Catholic faith.

Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending her time surrounded by family and friends.

Her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staffs at HHCP and Interim Health Care for the compassionate care given to Mary Ann.

Also surviving are her children, Michael Witkowski, at home; Donna Reese and husband, Thomas, Montdale; Sharon Seig and husband, James, Newton Twp.; Louis DeStefano, Moosic; and Eugene DeStefano, Genesee, N.Y.; grandchildren, Michael Witkowski, Edna Mae Seig; Donna Kopko and husband, Shawn; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Rought, Scranton; many nieces and nephews.

A blessing service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. at the Nicholas Chomko Funeral Home, 1132 Prospect Ave., South Scranton.

Friends may call Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rescue and Restore Church, P.O. Box 55, Jessup, PA 18434.

You my dear are going to be so missed. You were my best friend when I was younger in the view and taught me to be a better person and mother, and I will always love you and hank for that.
