Maureen Elizabeth "Beani" Bardzilouskas

Maureen Elizabeth "Beani" Bardzilouskas, 69, of Gouldsboro, passed away on Dec. 22, 2021, at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. She was the wife of Anthony Ronald Bardzilouskas, and the couple was married for 42 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Terry and Alice (Mulgrew) Bannon. Maureen graduated from Scranton Technical High School and before retiring, she worked as a tour bus guide for Kelly's Hotel, the North Pocono School District in the cafeteria, St. Mary's Villa as a cook and Pocal Industries.

Maureen was a member of the Church of St. Rita in Gouldsboro, was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed cooking and reading. She was kind, caring and a great friend. As a loving wife, mother, aunt and grandmother, Maureen cherished the time she spent making memories with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Anthony, Maureen is survived by her daughter, MaryAlice McHugh; her sons, Anthony Bardzilouskas and his wife, Heather Cromer of Gouldsboro and Matthew Bardzilouskas and his wife, Katy O'Brien of Gouldsboro; her grandchildren, Anthony Bardzilouskas, Laurel Bardzilouskas and Colin Stocosk; and her niece, MaryAnn Flaherty. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lynn Coleman and her brother, Larry Bannon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Rita, 512 Main St. in Gouldsboro. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow in Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton. All those attending the Mass are kindly requested to proceed directly to the church. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services LLC, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp.
