Pamela R. Myers of Spring Brook Twp. passed away July 27, 2022, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore after a long and hard-fought battle with uterine cancer. Born March 29, 1951, to her parents, the late Norman and Ruth (Reese) Kehr, they resided in the Green Ridge section of Scranton.

She continued on to the University of Scranton where she earned her master's degree. Pam taught second grade in Riverside West Elementary School her entire career, retiring in 2008. Affectionately known as "Miss Kehr the Bear," she taught second grade to hundreds of Riverside West children.
Pam was a member of the Scranton Ski Club (No one ever saw her with a pair of skis on!!) where she met her husband of 39 years, Richard P. Myers, of Mount Cobb. Marrying and moving to Spring Brook Twp. in 1982, she began a life of raising their two boys while continuing to teach. She loved the beaches of Cape May and after a while learned to enjoy a relaxing week in Canada at Desert Lake, Ontario every summer.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons, Ethan J. Myers, at home; and Jared R. Myers and his wife, Christine, and her granddaughter, Taylor Ann, of Covington Twp.; sister, Deborah K. Jones and her husband, Robert, of Covington Twp.; sister-in-law, Kathie Myers Del Guercio and her husband, Jacob, of Mount Cobb; nieces, Dawn Norvilas and her husband, Joseph, of Mount Cobb; Sara J. Jones Odell and her husband, William, of Oakton, Va.; and nephew, Robert A. Jones II and his fiancée, Daniela, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

We are going to miss Pam so much. She was an amazing woman who's smile would light up the room. She was pure class and wonderful friend. We loved her dearly. I will never forget getting together for dinners , our tradition of seeing Theresa Caputo , and her laugh. May she rest in peace. She will be looking down smiling on her family and friends. Your family is family and we are so blessed beyond words to have have her in our lives and your family. We love yous.
