Pamella P. Elkins, 75, formerly of Peckville, Pa., died on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at ProMedica/Manor Care York South Nursing Facility. She was the loving wife of David A. Elkins III, who preceded her in death in 2009.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Peter T. and Kathryn McElroy Joyce. She was a graduate of Blakely High School and worked as an administrative assistant to the superintendent at West York Area School District for many years. Pam loved collecting antiques and memorabilia, especially James Bond, Akro and I Love Lucy. She loved to play cards with her family and friends. She loved her dogs, and loved music and even in her advanced stage of Alzheimer's could still carry a tune. She had an infectious laugh, always smiling, always kind and caring, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, David A. Elkins IV and his wife, Kimberly, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a daughter, Dana A. King and her husband, Derek, of York; a granddaughter, Ava King, of York; "adopted daughter," Linda Duffy, of Wilcox, Pa.; "adopted son," Thomas Duffy, of York, Pa.; brother-in-law, John Spryn, of Peckville; a niece, Paula Joyce Guttenberg and her husband, Ira, of Advance, N.C.; a niece, Jessica Phillips and her husband, Bill, of Peckville; an aunt, Joan McElroy, of Peckville; and grandnieces and nephews, Ali and Aaron Guttenberg and Billy and Kelly Phillips.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Peter W. Joyce; a sister-in-law, Arlene Joyce; a sister-in-law, Marie Spryn; a sister-in-law, Madge Straka; and a brother-in-law, Peter Straka.

No viewing or memorial service will be held at this time. Arrangements are being handled by Robert E. Decker Funeral Home, 702 River St., Peckville, PA 18452. Burial will be in the Jermyn Cemetery, Jermyn, Pa. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Pam's name to a favorite charity or homeless shelter in need..
