Raymond Schmidt, 75, of Dickson City, died Saturday, May 12, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.

He was the son of the late Raymond W. and Margaret McCarthy Schmidt. Ray was a retired sheet metal worker with Local 44, and he was an organ donor.

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Lorraine; and his children, Laurie Kaminski and husband, James; Lisa Stanek and husband, John; Mary Lynn Schmidt; and Raymond Schmidt Jr. He had six grandchildren and one great-grandson; and sisters, Marilyn Rossi; Peggy Gahwiler; and Karen Heffron, all of Florida.

A blessing service for immediate family are under the care of the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop.

My condolences to the Schmidt family. I worked with Ray many years ago at Phoenix Roofing in Dunmore. He was a great guy and a good friend.
