Robert W. Kotarba Sr., 77, of Madison Twp. and Edgewater, Fla., passed away peacefully Dec. 3, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Joan Fischer, in 2016.
Born May 16, 1944, in Wilkes-Barre, Bob and his family moved to New York City, where he graduated from George Washington High School. Bob served in the Army as a corporal during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the Army, Bob built a home in Madison Twp. with his wife, Joan, and raised a family.
He was an electrician with the IBEW. Bob will be remembered for his fun loving personality, his love of family, and everything outdoors. He was a gifted poker player, gardener, and loved golf and fishing. Bob was a creative story teller, which provided everyone with entertainment and memories.
Bob's family wishes to thank St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home for their excellent care.
Bob is survived by his children, Kimberly Steckler, and husband, Lance, Robert W. Kotarba Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Laura Kotarba and fiancée, Jared Allabaugh; grandchildren, Remmington, Mackenzie, Maggie and Marin; and great-granddaughter, Charlie.
In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his grandson, Colin Toffey.
A Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church St., Moscow. Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church.
