Robert M. Malewicz, 74, of Carbondale died Sunday at home surrounded by his family after an illness. His wife is Daria.
Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Anthony and Olga Klapatch Malewicz. Bob was a 1966 graduate of Jessup High School and received an associate degree from Penn State University. He served in the United States Air Force as a sergeant during the Vietnam War.
Bob then worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot, where he retired as a supervisor.
Bob is survived by a son, Robert Malewicz Jr. and wife, Michele, Blakely; and a brother, Joseph Malewicz, Massapequa, N.Y.
