Ronald Kaczmarek Obituary
Ronald E. Kaczmarek of Dunmore died Saturday at Allied Hospice surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn Golden Kaczmarek.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Edward and Sophie Sojack Kaczmarek and was a graduate of the Scranton School District. He was a United States Army veteran. Before retirement, he was the owner of Morris Auto Ignition. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Scranton.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald and wife, Laura Kaczmarek, of Dunmore; and David and wife, Kathy Kaczmarek, of Scranton; three daughters, Debbie Livingston, of Old Forge; Maryann Lupia, of Dunmore; and Bonnie and husband, Michael Smith, of Dunmore; 10 grandchildren, Kyle Livingston; Amy Havenstrite and husband, Eric; Jessie Frace and husband, Zach; Joseph Lupia, Christy Smith, Courtney Smith, Kiersten Smith, Samantha Kaczmarek; Lee Kaczmarek and wife, Megan; and John Fliss Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Alaina Kaczmarek, Saige Havenstrite and Matthew Kaczmarek; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas Livingston.
The family would like to thank Dan Riley and the staff of Allied Hospice for their compassionate care of Ron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 800 Taylor Ave., Scranton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, Dunmore.
Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until Mass time.
