Timothy Curtin Obituary
Timothy L. Curtin, 85, of Scranton, died June 8 at Allied Services Hospice. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Anne Schreck Curtin, who died in April 2001.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Eugene A. Curtin MD, and Katharine Megargee Curtin. Following graduation from St. Paul's High School and the University of Scranton, he had a multifaceted career culminating with the founding of Computer Reports Inc. Tim was known for his kindness and generosity to all. He enjoyed playing a round of golf at the Country Club of Scranton as much as his regular card game at Zummo's.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Boylan (John), of Sinking Spring, Pa.; a son-in-law, Robert Hakim, of Vienna, Va.; a son, Eugene Curtin (Marissa), of Peachtree City, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; siblings, Mary Smith, Laila Cuddy; and brother, the Rev. Vince Curtin S.J. He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael E. and Timothy L. Curtin; a daughter, Kathryn Anne Hakim; brother, Eugene A. Curtin, MD; and sisters, Frances O'Brien and Nancy Quinn. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and friend, Jean Steppacher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 1510 Penn Ave., Scranton. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until Mass time.

I worked with Tim at IBM and Computer Reports Company, as well as when he was a volunteer at the Chamber of Commerce. I enjoyed working with him in all those settings. He was inventive and creative. He treated all those who worked with him with respect. RIP, my friend.
