Walter Wasko Obituary
Born in Scranton, son of the late Charles and Irene Wasko, he was educated in West Scranton High School. An Army veteran who served in Alaska, he attended St. Lucy's Church and worked for Gichener Corp., Old Forge, and the Peckville Community Library.
Surviving are his former wife, Maryellen Hunsinger; two sons, Charles and Ralph Wasko; three brothers, Thomas, Charles and Joseph; four sisters, Irene Crocker, Barbara Koch, Theresa Evans and Peggy Noll, all of Scranton; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home. 254-268 Railroad Ave., West Scranton, to be officiated by the Rev. Samuel Ferretti. Interment will be private.
Friends may call Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m.
