Wanda Kashuba, 96, of Keyser Valley, a former South Scranton resident, died Saturday morning at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kashuba.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Felicia Danilko Karluk. She attended Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary School and was employed at Haddon Craftsmen until her retirement.

While living in South Scranton, she was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church. After moving to Keyser Valley, Wanda became a member of St. David's Church until its closing and was most recently a member of St. Patrick's Church, Scranton.

Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She was an animal lover and especially loved her dogs and her "grandbirds." She enjoyed reading and praying daily. Wanda also liked watching old westerns. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Dolores Ladyka and husband, Albert, Scranton; grandchildren, Michelle Kobesky, Edward and Matthew Ladyka; great-grandchildren, Jessica Galli and husband, Bob; Sydney Kobesky; and Rebecca Kobesky and partner, John Rowlands; great-great-grandchildren, Gemma and Brady Galli, John Jr., Jorgia, Journee and Julian Rowlands; a sister, Stella Langan; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alex, Stanley, Frank and John Karluk.

The family would like to thank the staff at Geisinger CMC and Dr. Michael Alocci for their kind and compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul of the Cross Parish, Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Ave., South Scranton, by Monsignor Joseph G. Quinn, pastor. Interment, Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Davis Street, Scranton.

There will be no public calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Twp., PA 18411.
