William Loss Obituary

It is with deep sorrow to announce the death of William K. Loss, 61, of Scranton, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Thomas and Mildred Smith Loss, he attended Abington Heights and was a longtime employee of Gress Poultry. He enjoyed his family, attending sporting events and playing games with his grandchildren. His love for his family and community will truly be missed.

Surviving are his wife, Joan; his sons, William K. Loss Jr. (Charity) and David Williams (Jamie); and daughter, Gina Loss (Noel); three grandsons (Logan, Noel, Sebastian); six granddaughters, (Diandralee, Nylana, Jayla, Kaylianna, Marianna and Jaida). Also surviving are his sister (Caroline Schofield); and his three brothers, Thomas Loss (Arlene), Paul Loss (Karen) and Steve Loss (Cindy); five nieces, seven nephews, 10 great-nieces and six great-nephews, one great-great-niece and four great-great-nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton, PA 18504, Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. with a funeral service right after. The family asks that flowers in William's memory be sent to Hughes Funeral Home.
