William S. Maigur

William S. Maigur, M.D., passed away on May 9, 2013, at age 74. He was the beloved husband of Colette for 38 wonderful years.

Dr. Maigur served the Hamlin/Mount Cobb area as a family physician for 40 years. He was proud to serve on various boards and committees of Community Medical Center, Scranton, which he loved. He was a member of St. Eulalia's Church, Elmhurst, and a member of the Moscow Lodge 504 F&A Masons.

Dr. Maigur's sudden illness forced him to leave his practice and not a day went by that he did not miss the patients he served. He was a devoted grandfather and avid golfer who will be missed by his two golf buddies, Jack and Gene.

Even as his life came to an end, his faith in Christ and devotion to his family never wavered. He will be always in the hearts of those he loved and greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, William and his wife, Christine; Gregory and his wife, Heather; Melanie and her husband, Scott; and Ranjii; grandchildren, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Joseph, Ava, Anna and Joshua; sisters Grace, Mary, Lilly and Lolita; and brothers, Samuel and Benjamin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the St. Eulalia's Church, 214 Blue Shutters Road, Roaring Brook Twp., by the Rev. John J. Begley, S.J., and Monsignor John Jordan, pastor. Friends and family are asked to go directly to church Monday morning.

A visitation will be held today from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp. A Masonic service will be today at 4:30.
