Alice Lackie Obituary

Alice Emig Lackie Northstreet On December 3, 2010 Alice Emig Lackie, age 79, went home to her Lord. Alice's faith, strength, and passion will be treasured by her family and friends, while the ever-present joy within each of them is embedded through her compassionate generosity; the only way to truly describe this matriarch would be to look at the adoring faces of all those she touched. The time-honored traditions she imprinted throughout her years will be tenderly remembered and carried on for generations to come; thus leaving a little piece of our cherished mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and role-model with us through every holiday, birthday card, apple pie, Christmas cookie baking, and seemingly endless feel-good, happy moments that her legacy will continue to bring more smiles and joy than one could possibly ever imagine. Although great sadness engulfs us as we miss our dear Alice beyond words we celebrate her life and cherish the memories she left behind. She is the daughter of the late Earl and Gladys Hartman of St.Clair . She is the widow of Arthur Emig and Gordon Lackie. She is survived by her four children and their families: Charles and Julie Moak of Marysville. Tom and Teri Emig of Marine City. Cathy and Tom Cassady of Fort Gratiot. Linda Lipa of Marine City. Her Grandchildren, Susan and Roger Atwater of Port Huron, Kerstyn Emig of Marine City, Ashley and Roger Clark of Grandhaven, Craig, Erin, Hillary and Amanda Cassady of Fort Gratiot, Don and Karen Lipa of Marine City, Christina Lipa and K.C. of Marysville. Great Grandchildren: Connor Cassady, Brody Clark, Lindsey and Max Zimmer, Anna Lipa, Mike Atwater, James, Bethany and Mariah Duffy. Her brother Richard and Mary Hartman of Indiana and their families. Louis and Ruth Hartman of Bradenton Florida and their families. Linda, Chrissy, Don and families, I was so saddened to hear about your Mom/Grandma. I first met her many years ago when Linda and I were in high school together, and will never forget her warm smile and positive outlook on everything. She had a way of always making you feel so very welcome in her home, a beautiful graceful person inside and out and I know you are all going to miss her terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Alice was a special lady, one of my all time favorite patients. I was so happy when I got to Dr Garcia's office so I could see her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.
