Emma Sharrow Obituary
East China Township
Emma Jean Sharrow, 94, of East China Township, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 26, 2017 in her home surrounded by family. She was born January 19, 1923 in Detroit to the late Rudolph and Mary (Brinnich) Horwath. She married Leo Sharrow February 8, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2000. During her working career, Emma waitressed for the St. Clair Inn and Dal's Restaurant. Emma was a member of Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Church. She was an accomplished organist and member of the church choir. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and great grand-mother, who loved to work in her flower garden.
She is survived by her children, Al (Katie) Sharrow of Marine City, Carl Sharrow of Cottrellville and Timothy (Kim) Sharrow of Maryville; grandchildren, Kelly Sharrow, Shawn (Jennie) Sharrow, Trisha (Sandy) Rutledge, DaleVolker, Kim Sharrow, Mason Sharrow and Kevin (Beth) Sharrow; great grandchildren, Kyla, Emma, Harper, Bo, Molly, Aiden, Madelyn and Hunter; her beloved canine companion, Scotty. Emma's family would like to thank her care givers, Anna and Linda Lavely and Barb and Leslie from Reverence Hospice. In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Dowd and Evelyn Cowan. A private family service has been held.
