Steven Jacob "Jake" Jahn

Steven Jacob "Jake" Jahn May 16, 1994-March 19, 2012. Jake exemplifies the phrase "Only the good die young." He returned to his Heavenly Father on March 19, 2012, as a result of injuries from a crash on Westbound I-69 at Five Lakes Road. He was born May 16, 1994, to his mother, Karen Jesuita Hughes-McLeod. Those touched by Jake's life knew of his passion for film and movies, notably the character of Bruce Wayne (AKA Batman) as he too chose to seek the greater good in life and valued the Constitution and justice for all. Our beloved Jake was a senior and academic scholar at Marysville High School. He possessed a profound devotion to the study of arts. He was a section leader in his high school band, captain of the Marysville swim team, and performed in school musicals. He is also survived by his parents: Mark and Karen McLeod; Siblings: John and Angelica Parkison, Derek Fuller; Uncles: Thomas, Timothy, Edmund, Joseph, Joshua, and Adam Hughes; Aunts: Sharon Loftus, Theresa, Laura, Lucy, Melissa, Lori, Edna, Misty, and Aimee Hughes; and Grandparents: Edmund and Alma Hughes. May those of us he has left behind know that he is the sun on our shoulders and the rain to parched earth. May the light of truth guide him to the gates of Heaven, so that his cherished and never-forgotten soul may finally find eternal peace and hopefulness in the Kingdom of God.
