I was shocked to learn of Steve's passing. We used to date back in the early 70's in Port Huron Michigan. I moved to Texas and we stayed in touch. Last saw him in 1978 when he flew me to Detroit for the July 4th weekend. We lost touch. He used to make jewelry. He made me a cross and put in a tigers eye. He gave me a picture he drew of Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. He was a great guy and very talented. I never would have thought he would end up being a professor. I did win a few a few games of pool when we played. One other thing, he resembled Cat Stevens with that long beautiful hair. I called him "Cat". Good memories of a very talented man. RIP Steve.

Steve,Wish you well on your new life. We had many good times, from the screendoor shop to snooker at the Plaza with Butchie. Will miss you my friend. RIP
