Sue Miriam Carter

Battle Creek - Sue Miriam Carter, 87, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her residence in Battle Creek, MI. She was born May 12, 1934 in Providence, RI the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Chace) Williams.

Sue graduated from St. Clair High School in 1952 and then married William Arthur Carter in 1955 in Angola, Indiana. She enjoyed working for many years at the Saginaw Township Schools. She had a wonderful outlook on life and always was able to look on the bright side of things. She was always happy and never met a stranger. She had many hobbies that included: going to garage sales and flea markets, playing cards and cooking. Sue was extremely active in her retirement community Plantation Estates, she had something to do with the planning of any and all events. Sue had many wonderful friends and will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her husband: William Carter, of Battle Creek, MI; two sons: Nick (Kathy) Carter, of Delton, MI; and Steven Carter, of Mattawan, MI; one brother: Robert (Barb) C Williams, of Toledo, OH; two grandchildren: Stephanie (Paul) Welch, of Ft. Wayne, IN; and Taylor Carter, of Delton, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter: Elizabeth Schoen; her brother: Chace Williams; and her sister Betty Brown.

No services will be held at this time per Sue's wishes

Memorial tributes may be made to Elara Caring Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
