Danny Burnett Obituary
Danny was a 1971 graduate of Southern High School. He was an Electrician at Redman's Mobile Home, Culp Weaving and The Honda Plant. He was well known throughout Alamance County for his love of sports, his quick wit and his sense of humor. Danny played softball for several teams, including, The County Raiders softball team, Joe Shopwell and Culp Weaving. He also played baseball for Woods Chapel and Saxapahaw Baseball Teams. He was a member of Burnett's Chapel Christian Church.
The life and legacy of Mr. Danny E. Burnett will be forever cherished in the heart of his loving wife of 39 years, Rachel Brady Burnett, his daughters, April Everhart (Demond) and Sherea' Burnett; three siblings, Karen Jean Curtis, Richard Burnett (Rev. Ann Burnett) and Celeste Diane Burnett Bradsher (Jesse); Four grandchildren, one aunt, Annie Trollinger and many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
The services for Mr. Burnett will begin on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Burnett's Chapel Christian Church with the family receiving guests from 12 to 1:00 prior to service. The body can be viewed on Monday at Sharpe Funeral Home from 1 to 9 pm. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Sharpe Funeral Home has the pleasure of serving the Burnett Family.

Danny was a great man. He cherished his family and friends and always held true to himself. He was a very hard worker and stood up for what was right. I was honored to work along with him at Honda. My condolences to the Burnett family. Danny will be remembered in high standards always.

I had the pleasure of working with Danny at Culp Weaving. I also had an even greater pleasure or shall I say the honor of playing several years of softball with him in the industrial league in the Burlington City Park. He sure could hit a softball a country mile. He will surely be missed. May God provide the family the comfort and healing during this time of pain and grief as only He can.
