Donna Harris Obituary
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of 33 years to Roger L. Harris, who survives and the daughter of William Boyd Cooper and Nancy Ray Cooper, both deceased. Mrs. Harris retired from the Clerk of Court Office-Domestic Affairs and was instrumental in establishing the Family Justice Center in Alamance County. She was a member of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church where she served as choir director and pianist.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Ashley Antos and husband Michael of Frisco, TX; granddaughter, Makayla Antos; sister, Karen Cooper Phillips of Las Vegas, NV; two step-children, Tammy Gross and Michael Harris; and three step-grandchildren, Madeline Harris, Joseph Harris and William Harris.
A memorial service will be conducted at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Jimmy Wooten with the family receiving friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. The committal service will follow in Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church, 4683 Cedar Cliff Road, Graham, NC 27253.

My dear sweet cousin was the kindness, sweetest person and I am glad to have had her as my first cousin. I remember many good times we had together as children and again as we got together again after many years. She will be missed dearly.

I knew Donna many years ago, from the Clerk of Courts Office. We were not on first name bases, yet, I am sure my fondest for her never went unnoticed. She was so sweet and kind, professional and beautiful. Many times I would bring her the most beautiful shells from a private island off Green Pond. She accepted the few graciously. Through the years, I never once forgot her. Back couple of three years ago I was in The Court House, Guardianship planning, and asked about her, and was told that day was her last, she was retiring. I went to the window, and shared with her how kind, gentle, professional she was many many years ago, and that I had never forgotten her. She seemed to appreciate my words. She indeed was peerless in my book. Gone far to soon, a light went dark in Graham.
