Harry Dodson Obituary
Harry was employed for many years with Mebane Laundry and retired from Rental Towel and Uniform. He was a longtime member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church, a former deacon, Sunday school teacher and member of the Fellowship Sunday school class. Harry was a talented musician, playing a variety of instruments, but he was especially fond of the mandolin. He was a member of the Stoney Creek Coon Hunters Club and an avid hunter. Harry enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie Lou Barber Dodson of the home; sons, Michael Lee Dodson and wife, Denise of Graham, Kenneth Wayne Dodson and wife, Cindy of N. Myrtle Beach, SC and Stephen Russell Dodson of Snow Camp; grandchildren, Amy Gomez and husband, Paul, Matthew Dodson and wife, Amber, Hannah Dodson, Kelly Webster, Jeffrey Dodson and wife, Cassie and Lauren Picha and husband, Tom; great grandchildren, Cooper, Harper Jo, Lucy, Cameron, Christian, Madeline, Quinn, Cora, Caleb and Kaydence; sister-in-law, Becky Dodson of Elon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard Dodson, J. D. Dodson, Noble Gaston Dodson, William Tyre Dodson, Ephram Burton Dodson, Earl Frank Dodson, Nathan Taylor Dodson and Roy Harvey Dodson; sisters, Pencie Mae Dodson, Emma Bradshaw, Florence Shotwell and Mable Holland.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church by Rev. Randy Wellford. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.

I knew Harry and family from years ago attending Carolina Christian Church. I am thinking of the entire family at this time. My heart goes out to the whole family, but you were blessed to have him at this young age. He was always involved in church and family as I knew him. So sorry for your loss.
