Graham - James Edward McCall, 81, of Graham passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of twenty years of Carolyn Green McCall, who survives; and the son of Leslie L. McCall and Flora E. McCall, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a graduate of Campbell College and later retired from a career in insurance. James was a competitive, semi-professional golfer and avid sportsman. He loved the Lord, his family, the holidays (especially Christmas), and a good chocolate cake.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Lora McCall Meo; step children, Ginger Strickland (Kendall), Johnny Murray (Paula), and Cortni Lilley (Russell); grandchildren, Vincent Meo, Bailey Strickland Bunting (Tanner), Hannah Strickland, Paisley and McKenna Murray, Abby Lane, Harper and Carson Lilley; great grandchildren, Arlo and Colette Bunting; and brothers, Harold McCall (Verna) and Robert McCall (Jenny). He was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny Ruth Garner.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
